Amanda is the heart and soul behind Cartisan. Raised in Buffalo, NY, she grew up working in her family’s bagel shops, where she learned the value of hard work, hospitality, and the joy of feeding people with love. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for food and laid the foundation for what would eventually become Cartisan.

After earning her degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison—a place that deepened her love for artisan cheese—Amanda launched a career in the specialty food industry. For over 18 years, she has worked for a leading specialty cheese manufacturer, as a Director of Sales, collaborating with major retailers, foodservice companies, national restaurant and convenience store chains, meal kit companies, food manufacturers, and B2B accounts across the country. Her dedication and leadership were recognized in 2024 when she received her company’s Top Sales Award. Having organized and executed hundreds of trade shows and activations, Amanda brings a unique mix of marketing savvy, food knowledge, and creative flair to every Cartisan event.

By day, she leads national sales for a top cheese manufacturer; by night and weekend, she brings her expertise home through Cartisan—creating curated, interactive grazing experiences across Morris Plains, NJ and beyond. With each cart, Amanda blends her professional know-how, love of celebration, and personal flair, turning grazing into a shared experience with live styling tips, pairing suggestions, and plenty of charm.

Beyond Cartisan, Amanda is deeply committed to her community. She serves on the Founding Board of Directors for Downtown Morris Plains, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on building a thriving local economy through partnerships, fundraising, and events. It’s a mission that aligns with her personal values and belief in the power of connection—over food and beyond.

Amanda lives in Morris Plains with her family: husband Mike and their three boys—Jack, Leo, and Beau. Known affectionately as “The Coach,” Mike brings the spirit of fun, connection, and community to the Cartisan story. A former radio personality and longtime market and event host, Mike has always had a talent for captivating a crowd. Whether behind the mic or on the field coaching his sons in baseball, he’s a natural entertainer and motivator. These days, he brings that same energy into the classroom as an elementary school teacher, where his passion for engaging and inspiring others shines. From helping behind the scenes to lending his voice and creativity to events, Mike’s presence adds a spark of joy to everything Cartisan does.
